The brief
Red Bridge Brewing Co is a Knysna-based micro-brewery specialising in hand-crafted small-batch beer. They needed a new label design for their three flagship beers. They wanted to show case the actual Red Bridge in Knysna that the brewery is named after.
The solution:
Use the unique architectural shape of the ‘Red Bridge’ as the golden thread throughout the label illustrations. I also tied it in with the flavours, characteristics and colours of the three different beers by showcasing the bridge at different times of the day. We also wanted the labels to showcase the adventurous nature of the bridge. It is a favourite local gem for cycling, water sports and picnics.
Golden Ale - has a beautiful golden colour, which is perfect to showcase the golden sunsets.
India Pale Ale - is much darker in colour and fuller in flavour, which brings to mind the beautiful full moon night.
Craft Lager - Is the easy drinking beer and has a crisp flavour, which is perfect on a hot summer day floating in the lagoon.
