The Brief

Create an interactive that will allow the student to engage with the different risks.

Solution

Using the metaphor of a car driving down the road and encountering different risks. The use of the Tesla Cyber puck truck was to create a link between the video content in the same unit. In this interactive infographic, students will explore different types of risk, including the difference between two categories of risk, positive and negative risk (risk of doing something vs not doing something). Other types of risks students will learn about include operational risks, technological risks, legal and compliance risks, and financial risks.

User flow

Initially receiving a brief, I use the information provided to create a flow that showcases the content and provides an interactive opportunity for the student to engage with it. It is essential to guide the student but allow them the freedom to go back and forth in the interactive as needed.

Wireframe

Once the flow has been discussed and approved, the basic wireframe is created to ensure that all the functionality and content fit with the approved flow. Minor interaction and UI elements are fine-tuned to make the most of the experience

UI Kit

Using the visual style guide and wireframe to create the final design of the interactive.

Build

Once the design was approved, I would build the interactive site using a program called ‘Hype’. I would import the elements that were designed and add the animation and click-through functionality and make use of some basic HTML code to style the copy.
